Following a prolific run that redefined the boundaries of industrial grit and electronic carnage, Poltergeist 9000 (Iggy Clue & Cal 9000) are set to unleash their latest sonic evolution. Their new single, ‘Blue Encounter’, arrives June 4th, 2026, marking the first chapter of an ambitious, song-by-song release cycle for the year.

After the expansive success of their 2025 collaborative EP Higher Frequencies, the duo chose to strip back their process, prioritizing creative instinct over rigid structure. The result is a track that breathes with a frantic, living energy.

"This time around felt a lot more freeing and creative—just Cal and I exploring sounds together and turning mistakes into ideas," says Iggy Clue. "The song started with the beginning synth part which felt really exciting right off the bat. It kept evolving in natural ways that feel new and different.
