Lily writes songs to escape a discomfort that gnaws at her with nowhere to go, until it finds a temporary resting place. Using her piano, voice and lyricism, Lily explores trying to understand what is incomprehensible, and finding acceptance for herself. Joining her on stage is her brother Ewan Short on the guitar.

Mossrose

Mossrose is an emerging singer-songwriter from India, now calling Melbourne her home & finding her place in the city’s music scene. Her songwriting is a blend of pop-inspired melodies with emotional, witty, self-aware, lyric-forward storytelling that feels like you’re taking a peek at someone’s personal diary. NJ Rijs

Warm tones and well-woven lyrics of the storytelling tradition. This is what audiences can expect from Melbourne based singer/songwriter NJ Rijs. Hailing from Tatura, Victoria, this theatre actor turned songsmith, performs an original set rooted in country-folk & blues, blended into the minimalist crooner. With a love of storytelling, Rijs uses ballads, chorus song and melancholy poetry to deliver an intimate and meaningful performance.
