The Owls & Macrocarpa at The Gem Bar

 T h e  O W L S   are a 4-piece alternative rock band blending rhythm and blues, alt-country and folk influences with raw electric guitar textures and poetic songwriting.  Led by singer/songwriter Sean McMahon, the Owls' sound hangs on strong melodies and songs that will stick with you, long after the final chord rings out  Macrocarpa is a trans - Tasmanic alternative avant guard post rock movement spearheaded by songwriter Sam Bamberry and consisting of electric guitars, bass drums and cello. The band formed at the start of 2026 and has been playing shows to a steadily growing audience across Melbourne/naarm since.  The Owls and Macrocarpa play the Gem on Sunday Nov 15, doors 3.30pm
