Songwriter Soireé ft. Charlie McCosh, Maisie B. + aeriqah at The Retreat Hotel

A curated lineup of emerging folk-driven artists in celebration of the craft of songwriting. Maisie B. is an introspective indie-folk artist whose music gracefully “walks the tender line between joy and melancholy” (One Volume AU). The driving force behind Maisie’s craft is an adoration for human connection, and their gentle courage to achieve it. Melbourne-based Singaporean indie-folk artist, aeriqah, describes himself as first and foremost, a storyteller. Using lyricism as a medium for archival and exploration, aeriqah believes in using his art to document experiences and lessons in love, loss and finding his place in the world.  Charlie McCosh brings a unique folk-driven repertoire full of storytelling. She delicately weaves electronic textures with her soft guitar picking, inviting listeners to explore vulnerability and find comfort in the journey of holding and growing.
