Folk at the Tote w/ Thom Johnston, marigolden & Jib at The Tote - Front Bar

The Tote welcomes three staples of the Naarm folk scene to the front bar on Saturday, 12th of September at 3pm. Opening the afternoon is Lutruwita/Tasmania born, Naarm/Melbourne-based songwriter marigolden, who crafts songs that move through feelings of restlessness, nostalgia and reflection, landing in moments of joyful defiance. Following that will be Jib (solo), who will bring his weaving bossa nova melodies and alternative grooves into folky tunes. Lastly, Thom Johnston, who combines the influence of fading Australian pub wallpaper and multi-generational folk music to write songs about home and far away.  3:00pm - marigolden 4:00pm - Jib 5:00pm - Thom Johnston This event is free entry.
