Natalie Ex in The Retreat Beer Garden at The Retreat Hotel

Of mixed Kiwi and Japanese descent, Natalie Ex, aka Excelle, has been seamlessly fusing together a myriad of musical genres for the last 17 years. Her sets are heavily inspired by 80s and 90s music nostalgia, spinning everything from disco, new wave, yacht rock and city pop - to RnB classics, house and garage. Originally from New Zealand’s club and festival DJ scene, Nat quickly moved into hosting on community radio, and is just as comfortable piecing together the perfect down-tempo lounge set as she is keeping a dance floor heaving all night.  Her passion as a DJ is to share her obscure music knowledge, but to never be too cool to drop fun, sing-along jams or hands in the air classics from 80s or 90s music to today.
