The Refuge - Arvo show @ Shotkickers at Shotkickers

The Refuge kick off 2026 with an arvo party @ Shotkickers on Saturday 17th January with special guests Greeble & Groovevultures

Forming in the cold, dark depths of Gadubanud Country/The Otways (South West Victoria), now

based in Naarm/Melbourne, The Refuge are a unstoppable force of heavy riffs, emotive vocals,

machine like synchronisation. While The Refuge are a rock band looking influences such as

Queens of the Stone Age, Black Sabbath, Royal Blood and Grunge bands like Soundgarden and

Alice in Chains, they also blend in their love for psychedelic, punk, new wave and old school

heavy metal into their sound.

2025 was kicked off with not only a regional Victorian tour playing in Bendigo, Ballarat, Port

Campbell and their hometown of Apollo bay, but it has also seen the release of two singles, the

fast and punchy “Heart in my Hands” and a personal ballad, “The Winding Road”. The band has

another single due to release at the end of 2025, as well as continuing work on their debut

album to drop in 2026.
