MEMORIES OF HANAKO - Short film fundraiser. at The Old Bar

Memories of Hanako is a short film following Japanese immigrant mother Yuki and her second generation daughter Hanako as they both struggle to deal with the loss of a loved one. After temporarily losing her memory - Hanako discovers that her grief stricken mother has been lying and manipulating her as an attempt to rewrite Hanako's past and mend their broken relationship. This Psychological drama/thriller helps illustrate the complicated dynamics found in Japanese immigrant households in Australia.
