OH! GOODY! BOOKINGS presents CHAINS OF ROCK, a night linking across blends of rock created by loud, savvy and unapologetically raw female-led bands. This is night that will show the audience what it means to take the reins on what it means to be a woman in rock - and how to make it your own. The lineup's brilliant fusions across rock-subgenres is the perfect cross-section of creating space for emerging artists to take the stage, let loose, experience local music and discovery of new blends.
Together these bands link and create chains of how women and rock can show up with different sounds and still create a night that you will want to be a part of. You’ll soon see that the only boundaries to rocking out and supporting local women is by not being there!
This lineup features: ALTAV setting the scene with edgy bites of alternative rock, followed by DELPHI who is ready to carry on the energy and dial it up funk-drive rock, wrapping up the night is CHARLIE LANE with sharp storytelling, gritty vocals and a fusion of the blues into rock to make for a night perfectly curating to expand your previous conceptions of women and their bands in Australian rock.
What makes live music incredible is the range and variety that exists within and between genres that make for a lineup that is truly brilliant, exciting and jammed packed of energy as each act takes over the stage of Smith St Hotel.
This night brings the audiences and musicians together for an evening of getting lost in the music in a supportive and safe space where not only the fusions of sounds - but people and experiences can come together and blend for a meaningful and fun time.
This event is brought together by OH! GOODY! BOOKINGS, an independent booking agency that curates live music events to bring the community together across various genres with lineups that are meant to support the musicians and create discovery for the audience. We’ll see you for a good time soon!

CHARLIE LANE
Charlie Lane is a Naarm/Melbourne-based singer-songwriter blending blues, Americana,
country and rock with sharp storytelling, gritty vocals and a live show full of personality.
Following the release of her debut album, I'm Okay Now but I Wasn't (2024), co-produced by
Rohan Sforcina (Oh Mercy), Charlie has continued to carve out her own space in the Australian
music landscape through festival appearances, regional touring and a growing catalogue of new
Music.
Drawing inspiration from artists including Larkin Poe, Alabama Shakes, Tami Neilson and Emma
Donovan, Charlie's current sound marks a shift from her indie-folk beginnings towards
something bluesier, heavier and more rooted in Americana and country. At the centre of it all is
her songwriting - candid, wry and unafraid to find humour in the messier parts of life.
Charlie's music has received support from triple j, ABC Country and ABC Melbourne, alongside
editorial playlist support on Spotify, contributing to more than 350,000 Spotify streams and
listeners across Australia, the UK, US and New Zealand.
In 2026, Charlie was named a Finalist in the Unsigned Only Music Competition in the
Folk/Singer-Songwriter category for her song Fifty Shades of Bruised. Other recent highlights
include performances at St Kilda Festival, Leaps & Bounds Festival as well as selection for the
APRA AMCOS 23% Mentorship Program with mentor Georgia Fields.
Charlie is currently recording new music and developing her next body of work, leaning further
into the blues, country and Americana influences that have increasingly shaped her songwriting
and live sound. It's a new chapter that brings a little more grit, a little more bite and a sound that
feels distinctly her own.
DELPHI:
Delphi is a visionary Melbourne-based funk outfit bringing a fresh 90s revival to the heart of the local music scene. Formed independently in 2025, the ensemble fuses the classic sounds of vintage retro-funk with the sharp edge of modern R&B to create a one-of-a-kind live experience.
Much like their oracular namesake, the band acts as a vessel for beautiful, heartfelt messages, using soulful lyricism to offer an emotional depth rarely seen in contemporary funk. This vulnerability is anchored by a powerhouse rhythm section delivering grooves that are tight, clean, and relentlessly dance-inducing. Drawing from a diverse palette of influences like Prince, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Raye, Delphi possesses a charisma that keeps audiences hooked.
On stage, the vibe is crisp, cool, and high-energy, designed to move both the mind and feet. Delphi crafts soundscapes that are as much about the feeling as the movement. Come for the mystique; stay for the dance.
ALTAV:
ALTAV bring a unique edge to the Naarm/Melbourne music scene, providing a blend of heavy grunge, punchy riffs and large dynamic variety brought about through catchy female-led vocal hooks and a raw stage presence. The 5-piece act draws inspiration from multiple areas of rock, with influences of Radiohead, Muse, Paramore and The Strokes. Formed in late 2024, ALTAV have released 3 singles, with an EP set to release early 2027. The band debuted with , 'PANIC ATTACK', a fast-paced rock track with loud guitars and layered vocals, introducing the band's distinct sound. 'Lace' was released months later as a complete sonic overhaul: a vulnerable ballad with lush vocal harmonies and delicate strings that reaches a powerful climax. Released in 2026, 'Sirens' shared elements with both of its predecessors, showcasing the band's balance of large dynamics and soft ambience.
