SURROUNDED BY SOUND - Ultravox 'Vienna' | Spandau Ballet early singles and rare videos at Odeon Richmond

Odeon Richmond presents the Steven Wilson surround sound remixes on our dedicated surround sound system. Spandau Ballet – ‘Early Singles’ and Ultravox – ‘Vienna Spandau Ballet was the House Band of London’s famous Blitz Club and spearheaded the so-called New Romantic movement.  They were immediately successful with their debut single ‘To Cut a Long Story Short’ reaching No. 5 on the UK charts. In 2025 Spandau Ballet released a 9 disc box set of their first two albums titled ‘Everything is Now: Vol 1- The Early Years 1978-1982’ which contained the first six singles mixed in Dolby Atmos by Steven Wilson. After three critically acclaimed however only moderately successful albums, Ultravox! lead singer John Foxx left the band being replaced by Midge Ure who immediately helped Ultravox become a world-wide hit with the album and single ‘Vienna’ in 1980. The album contained four hit singles. ‘Vienna’ was re-released in a 40th Anniversary box set in 2020 which included multiple remixes including Surround Sound by Steven Wilson. DJ Randy Lipz XXX and DJ Bricolage will be spinning tunes of the era after the listneing event.
