Lemonise: “Habitat” Single Launch at Buddy’s Bar Newtown

Join Gadigal-based psychedelic group Lemonise at Buddy’s Bar, Newtown on the 17th April to celebrate the release of their latest single ‘Habitat (Show Me)’, a meditation on exploring protected marine reserves around Sydney and the South Coast.  Supported by psych-pop icon Caityscifi, the Habitat release show will bring signature synths, mind-expanding music production and hooks too good to forget from both artists at Buddy’s.  Lemonise are a group of four early-twenties music students who believe in the importance of observing nature and sharing its secrets with their urban audience in Sydney through music. Made up of vocalist/guitarist/Yidaki-didgeridoo player Jake Magi, lead guitarist Maya Riv, bassist Gene Griffin and drummer Morgan Monk, Lemonise bring unmatched groove, and unorthodox licks, phrasing and timings to their music.  ‘Habitat (Show Me)’ recounts the band’s many adventures and interactions with sea life on the NSW coast. The show aims to create a full stereo immersion for audiences to melt into the groove — and to leave feeling small in a vast and wondrous world.  Upstairs at Buddy's!
