This week Greta O'Leary, Stenn Francis-Deare and Bella Cloud are stopping by for a show.
Greta O’Leary is an Aotearoa born musician and writer whose clarity of vision renders unmistakable songcraft. ‘An indie-folk gem’ - triple j. Off the back of her breakthrough debut album River Dark, Greta's new work has cemented her as a rising force in her own lane. Her 2026 single Year of the Dog saw airplay on triple j, ABC Country, 3CR, NZ singles charting and consistent support from Rolling Stone AU/NZ. A writer with her own lens and language - horse graves, computer baptisms and shows of off-kilter wit and presence, Greta collaborates and performs across Aotearoa and Australia. She is studio at present working on a very new chapter, songs born out of rigorous writing practices and ruthless direction.
Stenn Francis-Deare is a Waikato-born, Melbourne-based songwriter whose music blends alternative country, folk and baroque pop. His debut album, There’s A Lot To Give, is released October 23rd. Recorded at Neil Finn’s Roundhead Studios and produced by Navakatoa Tekela-Pule (LEAO, Erny Belle), Francis-Deare’s recent singles have been featured in Rolling Stone Australia’s Best New Music and received support from PBS Melbourne and Triple J Unearthed. His songs evoke the gothic, foggy rolling hills of the rural Waikato where he grew up, alongside the melodic sensibility inherited from his mother, who played violin in a Gypsy Jazz band and composed works for theatre.
Bella Cloud is a singer-songwriter based in Naarm/Melbourne, whose music balances introspective and earnest lyricism steeped in indie-folk and folk rock traditions paved by the likes of Adrianne Lenker, Andy Shauf, Laura Marling, and more. At heart a traveler, she has performed across the West Coast of the U.S., Australia, and England with the hope that her music lands with those with open hearts and open ears.
Social Sanctuary is proud to be sponsored by Mountain Goat.
Our show is being held on the lands of the Wurundjeri People and we wish to acknowledge them as the Traditional Owners of this land we are gathered on. We also pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and Aboriginal Elders of other communities that may join us for our show.
