kisses at The Vanguard

kisseswith special guests Sevilles and Grace Barr + Hinano Fujisaki

kisses has been quietly building a world. Softly-sung memories and dreams float through a landscape of meandering guitars, grungy violin, and layered vocal harmonies, grounded in a spirited rhythm section with a deep groove at its core.  Their captivating live show sees songs taking new life in every room and are never the same twice.

Naarm/Melbourne-based five-piece kisses return to Sydney and the South Coast for a three-show spring fling. Much-loved members of the Australian alternative underground, the quintet released their second album, You Are in My Dreams, in February on Bedroom Suck Records. Early 2026 saw the band play to an intimate crowd crammed into Lazy Thinking in Dulwich Hill, and again a few months later delivering a special performance at Phoenix Central Park in May.

kisses’ music is an invitation to revel in all of life’s beauty and brokenness, to look up and feel together the steady rhythms of love, of loss, and love again.

“You Are In My Dreams finds these core components recombined in subtly more grown-up fashion, with added newer ingredients… the ten gathered pieces cast broader, deeper and occasionally darker spells.” - Freq (UK)

kisses loves you and can’t wait to see you soon.
