Tony Yang **FREE FRONT BAR GIG** at Wesley Anne

Tony Yang is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (Class of 2024). A dedicated jazz guitarist, Tony has spent years immersing himself in the jazz repertoire and regularly performing at gigs across Melbourne. Since 2023, he has been a member of the Melbourne Youth Jazz Orchestra and was awarded second place in the VCASS Outstanding Soloist Competition. He has also been featured as a soloist with the Daryl Mackenzie Jazz Orchestra and was recently selected as a finalist for the prestigious James Morrison Scholarship, performing in Mount Gambier. Tony has studied extensively with leading jazz musicians, including renowned Melbourne guitarist James Sherlock and New York-based guitarist Mike Moreno. His training also includes mentorship from respected local jazz artists such as saxophonist Tony Hicks and pianist Mark Fitzgibbon.
