Holy Basil & Friends: The Oneiromancy Show at Miami Marketta

On November 11, Holy Basil opens the doors to her world in the Gin Parlour at Miami Marketta: a 100 capacity night of new music, choreography and interactive experiences. Come as you are, or dressed in your fave fantasy outfit. About the artists: Holy Basil is a singer, songwriter, producer and worldbuilder who started making music from her laptop during the 2020 lockdowns. Inspired by artists like Grimes, FKA Twigs and Aurora, plus the underground Australian rave scene, her sound is a collision of these two worlds.  Her live and electronic hybrid set pairs heavy rhythmic drums, glitchy bass and warped synths with her ethereal vocals, choreography and lyrics that are both honest and mystical. Her artistry is built on themes of resilience, reclamation and self-discovery while her world is part ritual, part dance floor, and a refuge for the sensitive, the introverted and the weird. She has previously performed at local venues such as HOTA, Focal House and The Cave Inn, her music has been played on Australian and UK radio stations, and has shared stages with Kristal West, Indigo Hue and Dirty Linen.  Aerborn is a self-produced electronic artist who has one mission - help elevate humanity, earth and our animals through the ancient tools of music and dance. Her songs speak of sustainability, self love, and supporting each other. The Meanjin/ Brisbane based artist has over 500,000 streams across platforms. She has been played on radio stations around Australia, and international stations in America, England and Brazil. Aerborns energetic shows feature choreographed dances and merchandise giveaways, whilst holding the crowd in a multitude of interactive moments. Her light, airy vocals are complemented by dark, encapsulating synths, drums and bass. Aerborn has won awards including the QUBE Effect Brisbane for her outstanding performances and musical ability. Performing since the age of four, the stage is where she finds home. Her music welcomes everyone across all ethnicities, identities and ages. Her most recent performances have included Woodford Folk Festival and Lake Gkula camping.
