ThornBird at The Presynct at The Presynct

ThornBird is the solo project of Vikki Thorn. After more than 3 decades of fronting the iconic Australian band The Waifs, in 2022 she released her self-titled debut album ‘ThornBird', which received critical acclaim, 5-star reviews and garnered an ARIA nomination, and a WAMI nomination for best blues and roots artist. ThornBird’s voice sits front and centre over a heavy-hitting live band that knows just the right amount of nothing to let her shine. Her songs are forged in the untamed swells of the deep south, and sound like a campfire at the edge of a continent. Call it blues, folk or Australiana Americana; it’s all just music, and it’s what she does better than cleaning her house.   📅 Tuesday 29th December ⏰ Doors 7:00pm 🎟 General $45+BF | Door $50 🔞 18+ Event 🩴 NO Thongs Permitted 🚱 NO Outside Drink bottles
