HELLRAISER, A FUNDRAISER at Brunswick Ballroom
Hellraiser, A Fundraiser
Let your freak out at Hellraiser, A Fundraiser, a night built of music and mayhem at The Brunswick Ballroom.
Flyying Colours, Screensaver, and The Empty Threats (SA) take over with ominous synth-punk, darkwave, and shoegaze, bands that know how to command a room and wreak havoc in the pit.
Let's get loud and messy and raise hell, for good.

FLYYING COLOURS
Reverb-drenched pop with shoegaze and post-punk roots, Flyying Colours emerged from a Melbourne sharehouse in 2011. Founders Brodie J Brümmer and Gemma O'Connor played city clubs relentlessly, releasing their first single Wavygravy and a self-titled EP in 2013. Their debut album Mindfullness arrived in 2016, followed by 2021’s Fantasy Country, drawing on early-90s UK psych/shoegaze influences.
SCREENSAVER
Melbourne’s synth-punk outfit thrives on tension, glowering vocals, and irony-laced lyrics. Originally a remote collaboration between Austin’s Christopher Stephenson (Spray Paint) and Krystal Maynard (Bad Vision), the project became a live band in 2019, absorbing members of Lowtide and Rat Columns. Their albums, recorded with Julian Cue (CIVIC, Gut Health), create a disorienting, atmospheric wall of synths and effects.
THE EMPTY THREATS (SA)
A queer post-punk/noise-rock band from Adelaide, known for intense live shows, political lyrics, and a mix of modern experimental sounds with 80s Australiana. Formed in 2017, frontman Stu Patterson leads the five-piece with charisma. They’ve toured nationally and internationally, released acclaimed albums including Monster Truck Mondays and happy birthday, and are celebrated for cathartic performances exploring empowerment and belonging.
