Local legends Bean Magazine surprise us for their debut show at The Junk Bar.    Bean Magazine’s irresistible rise in 2024 saw them promoted out of the local Brissie scene with songs like ‘Dont You Die’ and on to the national airwaves. This lean three piece brew up an intoxicating brew of propulsive of urgent, melodic pop. They are gonna sound great in the Skukum lounge, moshing encouraged. RENO ltd. are a Meanjin/Brisbane band fusing slacker, shoegaze and post-hardcore into a volatile, cathartic sound. Drawing from their punk origins, RENO ltd., balance between social commentary and emotional discourse within their songs. Unafraid of delivering a biting wall of sound or a solemn array of chords. Dirty Harry is a Meanjin based band meshing indie-rock and country-alternative, influenced by a love of the Belair lip bombs, MJ Lenderman, Armlock and Big Thief.
