Warrane/Sydney based spiritual jazz / afrobeat / improvised groove collective HAZTET explore a cosmic vastitude of dense sonic realms, guided continuously by the rich, bountiful osmosis of improvised collaborative experimentation; profoundly inspired by the music of luminaries Mulatu Astatke, Pharoah Sanders, Joe Henderson John Coltrane, Alice Coltrane and Fela Kuti. Audiences can expect vibrant jazz harmony, percussion driven Afro-infused dance grooves and layered ambient SFX soundscapes.

Fronted by Perth born multi-instrumentalist Harry Tompsett, HAZTET features a shapeshifting cast of Gadigal’s most exciting emerging improvisational musicians.
