Pianist/composer Louise Denson is a Hobart-based pianist and composer. She has the great pleasure of gigging regularly with top-shelf rhythm section players Hamish Houston (bs) and Tom Robb (dr). Together they bring to life Louise’s own compositions as well as arrangements of many well-loved standards from the American songbook.

Louise has authored hundreds of compositions and arrangements both for her own ensembles, and for other artists. Her compositions often acknowledge her love of Central and South American rhythms including lilting bossa novas, nostalgic boleros and lively sambas, in addition to swing and jazz waltzes.
