Tin Roof Jazz Band at Milk Bar

The Tin Roof Jazz Band commenced in 1986 when Roy Burton, then President of the Jazz Club of WA, assembled six classically-trained musicians, including current leader Vivienne Kidd (piano), and later Martin Kidd (banjo). The band played three or four gigs a week plus regular gigs at the jazz club, until 1994 when Martin and Vivienne relocated to Spain. Tin Roof has had a second life since Vivienne reformed the band in 2019, with original players Mike, Tim and Steve and welcoming Dijon and Benn. These awesome musicians relish each other’s work and know that the audience will love listening and dancing to their music as much as they enjoy playing it.
