Blue City Wailers are one of Western Australia's premier blues bands, delivering a high-energy, dance-friendly blend of Chicago blues, swing, R&B, and blues-rock. Living by their motto, "Playing old, new, borrowed... but always blue," the band combines classic blues influences with their own fresh interpretations to create an exciting live show that keeps audiences on the dance floor.Featuring five highly experienced musicians, the Blue City Wailers bring together decades of professional performance experience gained throughout Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Collectively, the band members have performed with numerous respected blues, rock and country acts, sharing stages at festivals, hotels, clubs and music venues across Western Australia and beyond.

The band's lineup features the exceptional guitar work and vocals of Brad Wintle and Tony Shergold, the driving swing rhythms of drummer Grant "Big G" Hills, authentic-Blues harmonica from Bob Morton, and the rock-solid bass grooves of Ian "Will" Rutter.Together, they create a distinctive sound built on tight musicianship, infectious grooves, and a genuine passion for the blues. Four years on from Neanderthal Jam (2022), Datura4 return with their sixth album High on the Low Brow (Alive Naturalsound), once again recorded in their hometown of Fremantle, Western Australia. With Dom Mariani at the helm, it’s another eclectic fusion of blues-rock, boogie, and psychedelia, glued together by sharp songwriting, strong hooks and powerful riffs built from live and loose workouts the band have built their reputation on.Originating in 2009 out of the port city of Fremantle DATUR4 can be best be described as a ballsy return to full-tilt boogie, psych rock and hard rocking blues with their own original spin on things. Formed and fronted by Dom Mariani of legendary Oz garage rockers The Stems, they have released 5 acclaimed albums on US label Alive-Natural Records; ‘Demon Blues’ (2015), Hairy Mountain (2016), Blessed is the Boogie (2019) West Coast Highway Cosmic (2020) and Neanderthal Jam (2022).
