She will be joined by supports Big Heck and Steve Bourk
Melbourne-based artist Maxine Gillon has made a name for herself through her accomplished songwriting, literate lyricism and distinctive guitar work. Her sound draws from 80’s Australiana, folk rock & western twang, creating an inimitable blend that’s all her own.
She released her debut Ep ‘Ultra Lounge’ on November 25th 2022. The following year, she immersed herself in the live scene playing a total of 20 solo shows across Melbourne, regional Victoria & Sydney. She expanded her live show in early 2025 to a live band featuring Reggie Nos & Wesley Fahey, now permanent fixtures and collaborators.
Her debut album; 'Girl Songs', was released on October 23rd 2025. As a whole, it is an eight track expansive and inspired art-rock collection that draws from 80's indie-pop & Australiana, 60's Wall-of-sound as well as modern day dream-pop textures. She has supported artists such as Underground Lovers, Simona Castricum & Kim Salmon and has been billed on festivals such as Brunswick Music Festival 2025, Oxford Art Factory’s 16th Birthday 2023 (NSW), Punt Fest 2025 and Bush Music Festival 2026.
She has also collaborated with alternative music luminaries such as Jonnine Standish (HTRK) and Lindy Morrison (The Go-Betweens), which has further embedded her in the Australian alternative music scene.
Big Heck is the project of Dil Harré, a poet, support worker, producer etc.
The big heck band is Lucy howroyd, Millie Lynch, Hunter Auzins, Dan Radomsky & Dil Harré, they create a force of digital oddity, spoken word & walls of sound to distract you from your misery.
Dil Harré is a year and a half sober, and Big Heck is the project that is healing through creation. There's an energy through the upcoming LP that is chaos being allowed to run free without regret, with full conviction, a rabbit skipping in trust of a vision.
