Critically acclaimed Brazilian trombonist Joabe Reis makes his debut appearance in Australia touring his latest record, "DRIVE SLOW - A ÚLTIMA DAS FANTASIAS". 

Get ready from some of the finest Brazilian Jazz/Funk... He has played at major festivals such as: The Town (SP) on the same stage as Jacob Collier, Snarky Puppy and Kamasi Washington; was invited by Shawn Mendes as a special guest at Lollapalooza BR and toured across Europe with sold-out shows at Ronnie Scott and Jamboree. 

Joabe runs the Dejavu jam sessions which have featured some of the most influential musicians in Brasil including Seu Jorge, Gabi Guedes, Kainã do Jeje and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Bob Mintzer, Theo Crocker, Elliot Mason, Robin Eubanks, Toninho Horta, Family Company, Macy Grey, Nelson Ayres, Gabriel Grossi, and Ed Motta. Get ready for a boogie as this wont be a night to miss!

Local legend Lux Trevis will be supporting with his 8-piece band featuring Abby Constable, Yannick Koffi, Sarah Purdon, Alex Grace, Harry Tompsett, Youssef Sawires and Marina da Silva.Heavily influenced by the music of his home country Brasil, Lux's tunes consist of heavy percussive grooves and tight horn arrangements. A journey through original compositions full of Afro-Brazilian rhythms, Jazz harmony, Roots Reggae/Dub and beyond; creating a unique blend of entrancing beats ready made for the dance floor.
