CONTENT.NET.AU PRESENTS: DJ LOVE at Heaps Normal Health Club

For the first time and for one night only - DJ LOVE comes to Sydney! 

DJ LOVE aka Sherwin Tuna is known as the godfather of budots - a playful and bouncy dance music originated in Davao City, Philippines.


Set at 140bpm, Budots draws from hyper-local sounds, mashing Filipino pop songs with siren-like synths, driving percussion and infectious bass. DJ Love’s music has become an internet sensation globally, yet the spirit of Budots is deeply rooted in the working class communities of the Visayan speaking communities in the Philippines.

Joining him is obese.dogma777 (fka similarobjects) a cornerstone of contemporary Filipino experimental electronic music. Throughout his prolific career, he has developed a unique sound, blending influences across the archipelago. Through his organising work with BuwanBuwan Collective, and Manila-based club Apotheka, as well as research into the Post-bus movement, obese.dogma777 is a direct line to the pulse of Philippine dance music. 

Joining them are local icons SOVBLKPSSY and Cutedeary, notable fixtures in the resistant strains of Sydney's queer club scenes. Join them all at Heaps Normal Warehouse for a special night celebrating food, community and unfiltered joy
