Petting Zoo at Plaza Hotel Basement

Petting Zoo returns to Plaza Hotel with another full venue takeover, built for people who want something different. This is Sydney’s hyper-colour, high-energy party series where costumes are encouraged, the dancefloor stays packed, and the night moves across multiple rooms of house, garage, and techno.

A rave in costume, a zoo with no cages, and a party that refuses to behave.

The venue splits across two rooms once again. Upstairs leans into hard house and techno, led by Belgium’s Helena Lauwaert alongside Germany’s 909 Racing Team, the duo of Mike Momburg and Domenik Deckert, delivering the fast, rave-driven sound currently tearing through European clubs. Sydney’s Billy The Kid joins the room, setting the pace early with local hard-groove pressure.

Downstairs, the basement shifts into garage and minimal house territory. UK selectors Oldboy and Captain Wallop bring deep crates of unreleased cuts and underground favourites that have been circulating through the UK club circuit, joined by Sydney’s Dingo keeping the floor moving late into the night.

Across the rest of the venue, Petting Zoo DJs take control, pushing house and club sounds throughout the night and keeping the energy high from open to close.
