Portrait Parade - Thursday August 6th, 7:00pm 🎸 Artist Bio: A coloratura soprano and member of the quartet on the Bob Hawk Show, began her singing career as a choir member in Lancaster, Pa. Encouraged by teachers to train for opera, she went to New York in 1943 to study at the Juilliard School of Music. In 1946 she was Jill in the CBS "Three Jacks And A Jill"; 1947, she was signed as the "voice” for a series of new 'toons, likely the Terry Tune comics. She also sang with the Song Spinners on NBC radio. By 1948 she was singing on ABC's Friday night quiz show, "Break The Bank". By the time Geri' married [a70524] in 1952, she was preforming in various roles inc. “Your Hit Parade,” “This Is Show Business” and “Toast of the Town" television programs. She sang on Hopkins album [m869260]. She was a native of Chambersburg, PA and a 1942 graduate from Chambersburg High School. Born 1925, Died 1995 (Aged 70).
