Mervyn Butterworth EP Launch at The Wheatsheaf Hotel

Join Mervyn Butterworth as he releases his self titled EP- Mervyn Butterworth.  Mervyn writes nostalgia evoking songs that cross all genres- singer-songwriter, alt-folk, country and midwest-emo. A proud South Australian, Mervyn writes what he sees, whereby topics of conversation relate to country living, the bush, digging holes, surfing and the general vicissitudes life, family and love.  Mervyn takes inspiration from alt folk groups such as The Sleepy Jackson, Gomez, Bright Eyes, Band of Horses, Darren Hanlon, Gelbison and The Waifs.  Mervyn has spent decades playing small bars, campfires and on the back of truck beds, with the boys from the band finally talking him into coming to town a little more and recording this high energy, and at times beautifully thought provoking EP. https://www.instagram.com/mervynbutterworth/
