John Kennedy - Comeback Show And Album Launch at Marrickville Bowling Club

Australian singer-songwriter John Kennedy returns from Europe for an East Coast Tour this summer. He has survived a stroke, crossed continents, and emerged with an album that sounds nothing like business as usual. Following his stroke in 2025, Kennedy relocated to Berlin, where former bandmate Moe Jaksch challenged him to leave his familiar pop-rock territory behind. Their Rocking Chair Studio sessions produced three songs Kennedy dubbed The Berlin Trilogy, a tongue-in-cheek nod to David Bowie’s Berlin years. The project grew after Kennedy moved to Spain, bringing together an international cast. The result is a fresh, contemporary take on Kennedy’s distinctive Urban and Western sound, adventurous, collaborative and, in Jaksch’s charming words, “not the same old Kennedy shit”. The Marrickville Bowlo show supported by Inner West darlings Victoria and former Kennedy bandmate Steve Broughton, will be the official launch of the The Berlin Trilogy (And Other Collaborations) album which is available now on I-94 Bar Records. Kennedy will also be promoting his new music memoir, Have Songs, Will Travel.
