Two of Australia’s standout contemporary bluegrass and acoustic roots acts share the stage for a special double headliner at The Vanguard. 

Led by mandolinist Justin Vilchez and guitarist Daniel Watkins, The High Street Drifters have quickly established themselves as one of the leading progressive acoustic acts in the country, delivering a live sound that blends traditional bluegrass influences with a distinctly Australian voice, grounded in the places they’ve grown.

Hatched and hand raised in Newcastle NSW, Midnight Chicken are quickly becoming a hot topic in the bluegrass and country circuits around Australia. Their bizarre take on bluegrass music gives birth to amazing renditions of traditional tunes, old classics as well as more modern tunes alongside originals written and led by all members of the band.

Dangerous  behaviour including Crowd Surfing, Stage Diving, Moshing and Violent Dancing is not allowed and will result in your immediate removal from  this venue. Inappropriate behaviour at this venue will lead to your banning.
