Fifth Valley | Least Expected Things EP Launch Show | w. Gaia Ludwig & Cruise Baby at Oxford Art Factory

New to the Sydney scene, Cronulla-based band Fifth Valley emerged early 2025, hitting the stage alongside the likes of Hollow Coves, Caravãna Sun, and Odette. With their debut folk-rock single, ‘Come Down’, earning them their first airplay with Triple J, setting the way for track 2, ‘For Leigh’.

Their second single, landed as a heartfelt acoustic eulogy — a tribute to Ryan Leigh’s late father — encapsulated the notion of love left behind and the process of grieving. This last release leads the band into their debut EP, ‘Least Expected Things’.

Recorded and produced on the Central Coast by Jack Nigro (DMA’s, The Terrys, Rum Jungle), and mastered by George Georgiadis (Dope Lemon, Matt Corby), the group have crafted a five-track EP that captures the highs and lows of emerging from youth. A true coming-of-age story — moving from grief to acceptance, and finding meaning along the way in the least expected places.
