DOLLY LOU AND THE MARIONETTES at Brunswick Ballroom

Genre: Original indie folk music

Dolly Lou and the Marionettes are an original folk band blending deeply personal storytelling with strange, silly, strikingly contemporary tales from a lesbian lens. Drawing on the sound of Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple and Kate Bush let this gaggle take you on a journey of hooky melodies, sharp lyricism and rich yet fragile vocals.

Dolly and her Marionettes will be joined by openers;  FISHTALE, a harmony wealthy group with touching storytelling and Constaina with her sophisticated and soulful sound. A special guest Plastique Bag, (one of the marionettes own darlings) will be performing a titillating drag number to open the night’s festivities.
