The PERTH BLUES CLUB presents
Duality The Band + Dean Haitani Band
Duality The Band | 7.30pm“Duality The Band” originated from “Duality Duo”, a well-established duo in the Perth music scene. They consist of Lauren Marsden, a versatile and energetic singer with many years of performing experience who currently studies her Bachelor of Music at WAAPA and Mario aka Harvey Lizaman, a full-time musician who also performs regularly as a solo entertainer and with several bands around Perth and WA. They are backed up by some well-known regulars at the PBC. On drums it’s Mr Mike Hagerty Jnr, award winning groove-king and always in demand, his unique feel and swing drive the pulse like no other. That familiar face of Mr Kim Siragusa, known from Scarlets Way, Rising Sun and countless other outfits, hammers the keys. On guitar they have a newbie to the PBC, young Mike Bradley, barely past his teenage years. But his feel is second to none and he will be showing up at the Blues Club for at least another 50 years, I’m confident to say. Together, they bring to you some classic and modern blues, that will make you tap your feet and bring a smile to your face.
Dean Haitani Band | 9.00pmWith his unique finger style and soulful earthy vocals, Dean Haitani is an accomplished guitarist/singer/songwriter. His distinctive sound comes from the influence of his guitar hero Mark Knopfler and his ability to cross many musical genres. Dean’has honed the craft of both acoustic & electric guitar and his dynamic live performance comprises of foot percussion, a variety of guitars (running octave, delay, distortion, phaser & wah effects) vocals & harmonica. Over the last 30 years Dean has toured the US, UK,NZ & Europe. Dean has over 20 years in the industry, touring nationally and internationally (UK, Europe and USA) and most recently promoting his latest album "Red Dust" produced by Nicky Bomba and which reached #1 on the Blues & Roots Airplay Charts. Haitani has played many festivals [in 2019 Marysville Blues & Jazz, Bendigo Blues & Roots, Australian Blues Festival, & Yack Folk Festival] as well as supporting artists such as James Morrison, Ian Moss, Glenn Shorrock, and The Black Sorrows. For this show he will be accompanied by Hans Deberitz on bass and James Marelich on drums.
