CANARY BONES at Volta

Canary Bones are a Naarm noise‑rock/post‑hardcore sextet twisting jagged guitars, skewed rhythms and stark vocals into a volatile, fragile sound. Since forming in 2023, they’ve become a distinct force in Australia’s underground. Their 2025 Demo introduced a harsh, textured palette echoing Helmet, Sonic Youth, Fugazi and Swans. Singles “Tortfeasor” and “Gut You Like a Fish” pushed into darker moods and tense introspection. With a new EP underway and touring slated for 2026–27, they continue driving into stranger territory. With special guests Cosmonaut, ALARMS, Bruxist, The Pass and Velora.
