vincent is the project of Meanjin/Brisbane-based songwriter Annabelle Barnes, blending alt-folk and cinematic rock to balance quiet vulnerability with soaring intensity.

Following recent support slots with Lotte Gallagher and Gordi, she’s quickly building momentum as one of the city’s most compelling emerging voices.

Her debut single, vincent vol.1, traces grief, change, and the messy process of re-meeting yourself. 

Written four years ago, Barnes returned to the track as a way back into music following a difficult creative period, determined to break the song open, acknowledge its history, and rebuild her relationship with music into something more playful and honest. The result is a song that feels like it is coming home to itself, with every element carrying the weight of where it has been.
