Mia and The Mantids w/ Eden Hawkins + Leech Jerky at Bar Open

Mia and The Mantids are a lively, quirky and down-to-earth band in Naarm/Melbourne. Inspired by musicians like The Last Dinner Party, Jackie Evans, Laufey and Hozier, Mia and The Mantids tunes follow throughlines of reflection, authenticity, and embracing one's own originality through catchy pop tunes, tear-jerker ballads and super buggy rock songs. Vocalist Mia Christiansen (lifelong bug-and-insect-lover and mover-of-snails-off-the-footpath-because-she-is-worried-someone-will-step-on-them-by-accident) leads and writes for The Mantids, consisting of James Caddie (drums), Arlo Autumnus (bass), Caleb Elbourne (keys) and Owen Wilkins (guitar). Their tunes are sure to have you shuffling your scutella and popping your pronota, so make sure you make way for Mia and The Mantids!
